We provide a service at mathfold.com that converts Markdown into Word and PDF documents. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights. It applies to the website, the converter and the developer API.

Documents you convert

The text and images you send to the converter are processed in memory only to produce your preview or file, and are discarded as soon as the response is sent. We do not store, read, sell or use your documents to train any model. Temporary download links created through our API expire after 30 minutes.

Account data

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. We store these together with your plan, the number of downloads and API calls you make each month, and your API keys (stored only as a one-way hash).

Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive the status of your subscription and a customer identifier, never your card details.

Cookies

We use a single strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. We use no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Google's sign-in button and Paddle's checkout may set their own cookies when you use them.

Legal bases

We process account data to provide the service you request (contract) and to prevent abuse of the service (legitimate interest). Where Turkish law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) or the EU/UK GDPR applies, you can rely on the rights below.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to [email protected]. You can delete your account yourself on your account page (Settings, Delete account); this removes your profile, usage history and API keys at once. Billing records stay with Paddle, which must keep them for tax purposes. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye, the KVKK Board).

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Server logs with IP addresses are kept for up to 14 days for security.

Processors

Google (sign-in), Paddle (payments and tax), Cloudflare (network and security) and our hosting provider process data on our behalf, some of them outside your country, under appropriate safeguards.
